Lincoln, Lincs.; cabinet- and clock case-maker (fl. c. 1815).
Two examples of his clock cases are known, identified by his printed label inside the trunk. Both labels read ‘J. Summerscales CABINET AND CLOCK-CASE-MAKER’ LINCOLN’, one label is also inscribed in ink ‘No. 492’ and the other ‘No. 481’ (illus. Jones, Regional Furniture (1993), figs 106 & 107).
