A bow-fronted mahogany chest of drawers cross-banded in satinwood, bears one of his trade labels in the top drawer, c.1790 [Private Collection]. Medhurst subscribed to Sheraton’s Drawing Book (1793) and was declared bankrupt in 1796 [Billinge's Liverpool Advertiser, 27 June 1796].
