A trade label in the collection of Gillman (illus. Glin, Furniture History (1985), fig. 20) reads ‘GEORGE KEARNEY, Carver & Gilder, Looking Glass Warehouse &c. Wholesale and Retail, 47 Henry Street, Dublin. “Successor to the Late Joshua Kearney.” ‘Window Cornices in great variety. Lamp Oil and Best London Wax Candles. Chimney, Pier and Dressing Glasses of every description for Carriages, Dwelling Houses, Shop Windows, Prints &c. Workmen sent to any part of the Kingdom to Glaze, if required. Slips of Glass for Shelves &c.
